Review:

White Lies is a tense wintertime thriller that takes the viewer on a journey of nail-biting suspense. Filmed in Calgary and Whitehorse, it stars Erika Eleniak (Under Seige, Baywatch) and Canadian Supermodel Monica Schnarre as two career women re-establishing an old friendship. When Liz (Schnarre) is forced to leave town after an attempted assault by her vengeful ex-husband, Barbara (Eleniak) offers her company, and the two of them escape to a remote mountain cabin. They're met by the folksy caretaker (Calgary's own Jann Arden) and move into their snowbound surroundings. Believing that they have been followed and frantic for help, Barbara telephones her husband Gunnar (Peter Dobson). As Gunnar rushes to his wife's aid, the women are attacked by an unknown intruder. Who is this mysterious presence? Will Gunnar show up to help on time? As the seconds tick away, this dynamic thriller twists, turns and careens right up to its breathless conclusion.
